Azerbaijan Medical University Journal is an international open access peer-reviewed scientific journal which aims to communicate to its readers, state-of-the-art information on clinical medicine and medical science in the form of high quality original research articles and timely reviews on current developments in the field of medicine and public health. 
Its audience includes clinicians at all levels of training including medical students, medical and surgical residents, newly qualified specialists and the experienced medical professionals, and public health experts. Its aim is to inform efficient, appropriate and evidence-based clinical practice to the benefit of patients worldwide. 

By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 20.09.2024, "Journal of Azerbaijan Medical University" was included in the list of recommended periodical scientific publications.

All manuscripts submitted to the Azerbaijan Medical University Journal for publication are reviewed by the section editors, by peer reviewers, and by the Journal’s Editor-in-Chief (who ensures that questions raised in peer review have been addressed appropriately and that the journal keeps an educational and scientific practical focus that is of interest to our readership).
